What made the win that much sweeter for Vandy fans was how the stadium’s jumbotron trolled Alabama coaching great Nick Saban after the upset. The Vanderbilt jumbotron played a clip from ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show where Saban issued a pretty direct diss to the atmosphere at Vandy’s FirstBank Stadium for opposing teams.

Saban liked to use the phrase “rat poison,” as a way to get his players not to feel too good about themselves, to avoid letdown performances like the one we just saw from the Crimson Tide. It was frequently mocked, but it also worked.
