Parts of the Orange Line will be shut down from Oct. 8-20, and then again from  Oct. 26 -Nov. 1, the MBTA said.

It's the Orange Line's turn. A substantial portion of the MBTA line will close for much of the next two weeks for maintenance.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and the City of Boston are offering Bluebikes unlock codes to provide people with an alternative method of transportation during the MBTA Orange Line closure. The Orange Line closure runs from October 8th to October 20th.

Tuesday morning kicks off the start of another closure on the MBTA. This time, it’s on the Orange Line. Riders can expect a pause in service along a busy section of the line. It’s going to be about a 2 1/2 week closure,

Service on a section of the MBTA's Orange line will be suspended for nearly two weeks starting Tuesday. Train service will be suspended between Forest Hills and Back Bay through Oct. 20, with the service suspension extended between Forest Hills and North Station from Oct. 12 to 14.
