Virginia football was picked to finish second to last in the ACC preseason poll. The Cavaliers have shocked many this season and are not the only poor assessment as the projected number one Florida State has plummeted down the ACC with a 1-4 conference record.

The ACC has some good looking contenders at the top of the conference. The Miami Hurricanes are undefeated, the Clemson Tigers look as good as they have in a few years, and the SMU Mustangs have a scary offense that is clicking on all cylinders right now.
