No Bills’ pass-catcher went for over 49 receiving yards, and it came with Keon Coleman’s score in the third quarter. Coleman, Mack Hollins, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Curtis Samuel totaled four combined catches on 18 targets for 76 yards, six fewer than Diggs overall.

The Bills were, almost poetically, without Khalil Shakir, their top receiver. It left the Bills without a single player who caught a regular season pass from Allen in 2023. And those receivers didn’t add much on Sunday, even with a depleted Bills defense giving them one chance after another to take hold of the game.

Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen connected again Sunday, but it wasn't as joyous as when they hooked up for more than three dozen touchdowns and shared hugs, handshakes and thankful sweet-nothings over the previous four years. Allen sought out Diggs at midfield after the Bills lost to Diggs' Houston Texans' 23-20 on a walk-off field goal.
