Former Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy has commented on Chelsea star Jadon Sancho and given reasons why he struggled at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho’s quiet persona meant coaches struggled to understand him during his disappointing stint at Manchester United, according to former Red Devils assistant Benni McCarthy. Sancho joined United for a whopping £73million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 but never found his feet during a disappointing three-year spell at Old Trafford.

Discreet during his time in Manchester, Sancho “often snuck out to come to London” reveals McCarthy about the former BVB player. Now at Chelsea, in his hometown near his family, Jadon Sancho will be able to concentrate on his football.
