Police are investigating a shooting involving several officers in Plano. It happened Friday around 4:45 p.m. at the MAA Los Rios Apartments in the 4700 block of 14th Street in Far East Plano. Officers received a call about a disturbance at the apartments.

While a woman and her 4-year-old child were being kidnapped, two men tried to stop it and one of them was stabbed, police said.

Police said the woman’s behavior resulted in a shooting that involved officers. Police did not specify what behavior led to the shooting or say how the woman was wounded. Officers rendered aid to the woman, who was taken to a hospital where she later died. Her identity was not released.
