PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — For the first time since 2021, Providence men’s soccer is headed to the NCAA Tournament. On Monday, it was announced that the Friars (12-5-3) will host Bucknell on Thurs. at 7 p.m. The news comes just a days after Providence fell to Georgetown 2-1 in the Big East championship game.

Providence was drawn opposite Patriot League champion Bucknell and will host the Bison in the first round on Thursday night. Start time is 7 p.m. at Anderson Stadium, with the Friars attempting to improve upon their 7-0 record all-time in postseason games played on campus.
