On Wednesday, the Election Commission responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's statements, describing them as “far from a legitimate part of free speech.”

Claiming there were ’irregularities' during the vote counting, held yesterday, the party ‘refused’ to accept its defeat in an election it was expected to sweep.
