WEBJul 21, 2019 · Youtube video playback is far superior to the embedded view you get via bing results. When you click the youtube link it will go to youtube but also leave the bing video playing in the background requiring you to close the old tab. Edge should pause the bing embedded video once you click the youtube link so you don't have to do this.

"Any other search engine" Google started doing exact same as well. I believe DuckDuckGo does it too. So this is pretty common in most search engines.
