Earthing advice on T5 needed - VW T6 Transporter Forum
WEBOct 31, 2020 · I know there are factory fitted earthing points at various points around the van (I used the one under the drivers seat for my main link for the split charge relay). But I'm struggling to know where any other may be.

WEBMay 15, 2013 · I'm making use of the standard earth points when wiring accessories into my van. So far I have found the following. Under dash on the N/S footwell Inside behind O/S and N/S rear lights Under the N/S front seat. Are there others? Regards, Jon

WEBJun 3, 2023 · Any shore power post connection includes the green wire (earth) to the van chassis. All cables should be sized to the load they carry. The BussBar to chassis should be the same size as the battery to BussBars.

WEBApr 16, 2016 · This is what needs to be achieved within your van and the easiest way is to connect the earth terminal within the consumer unit to the chassis/body of the van. The van is built in such a way that there is good electrical connection between the chassis and body so a single connection should suffice.

WEBGround loops? You're basically creating a much more solid ground plane accross your engine bay. Everything is connected back up to the neg terminal of the battery. A stronger ground point might also help with better radio reception too! edit:

WEBApr 28, 2016 · Your hookup extension cable (i.e. the one that connects the van's power inlet to the service post at your chosen camping spot) contains the earth connection, your live phase and your neutral phase. So yes, the hookup in the van does need earthing, but you do this by plugging it into the power supply on the service post.

WEBAug 3, 2020 · I have bought a Renogy 2Kw invertor, and this has a little earth connection (in addition to the earth pin on the 240v input, as it can switch between EHU and 12v source), do I need to connect this, and if so, is it to the van body earth, or the earth as provided by the site hookup?
