The tank landed in such a way that none of the hatches could be opened so the lack of a belly hatch probably played a role. Crew Fatigue was cited as the main cause IIRC.

The outgoing 120mm APFSDS projectile is not only wider than anything the 105mm ever fired it's the better part of a foot longer and developed to defeat Kontact-5 ERA. Not so good at culture, foreign language, popular support, etc. A 20-30 ton vehicle with a 105mm is great at everything but tank v tank.
